Soap and Glory “Lid Stuff” – Cream Eyeshadow Sticks

I am definitely the sort of person that loves a fast and easy eyeshadow look – I go to work in the morning (at the moment in the dark) and just want something that’s super easy to use.

I was very kindly sent some of Soap and Glory’s “Lid Stuffs” (dual ended cream eyeshadow sticks), their Thick and Fast waterproof mascara and their iconic Super Cat Eyeliner to give a try. For those of you who don’t know, you can shop Soap and Glory at Boots or Soap and Glory’s own website.

I’ve tried lots from the brand in the past but mostly their skin and body care as opposed to their makeup. Boy have I been living in the dark. I thought I’d type up this post mainly just to show you how pretty the Lid stuffs are as they really are right up my street!

I was sent three different shades, each with two different colours in it – one side matte the other side shimmery – you can see them all in the snap shot below.

Rose Glitter and Matte Rose (left) are a warm toned dusky pink shade and a pearly pink glitter duo. Putting on the Glitz and Grey All Day are a cooler toned pair – a steely grey and a shimmery taupe. Finally, Cocoa Crush and Golden Crush are a matte, beige brown and a shimmery gold.

My favourite thing about these is the matte formula, it’s so very creamy but I do find that it also sets down incredibly well and doesn’t move too much (for a cream shadow) throughout the day. My favourite colour – if I was pressed to pick just the one – would be Cocoa Crush . It’s quite a strange neutral, slightly yellow, mid toned brown and I find that it really complements my eye colour.

The shimmery side is of course very pretty too, but I prefer not to build these up or heavily apply. Instead, I like to use them as a wash of colour On the lid or simply as a faint inner corner highlight.

I’d really recommend these to anyone who doesn’t have much time to spend doing their makeup (at least on most days) or just someone who like the ease of a stick formula and cream shadow. I also think these could be a great way to break into the cream eyeshadow scene for anyone who hasn’t jumped on board yet. I mean, just look at how pretty the colours are!

Have you tried Soap and Glory’s Lid Stuffs before? Are there any other products that I should be checking out from them ?
