Phase Zero Blusher and Bronzer Review

Face products are hard to master, have Phase Zero managed it?…

I’ve reviewed all of Phase Zero’s releases on my blog (eye shadows, liquid eye shadows, cream shadows and lip products) – so their blusher and bronzer release was going to be no exception! They’ve released seven products all together – six blushes and one bronzer. The shades are:

  • Straight Flush – Deep Matte Pink
  • Making Moves – Shimmery Warm Toned Peach
  • Heart Throb – Mid Toned Matte Coral
  • Sweet Peach – Light Matte Peach
  • Cotton Candy – Bright Matte Cool Pink
  • Gold Rush – Shimmery Deep Golden Peach
  • Hidden Agenda – Neutral Bronze

Each product is 5 grams in weight and is priced at £7.50. I was very kindly sent two shades to give a try from the lovely team – a blush in the shade Making Moves and the bronzer in Hidden Agenda. Here are my thoughts:

I’m really, really picky with bronzers. I’m fair with cooler undertones to my skin, meaning that bronzers can often look very orange on me and also can look far too dark. So I always tread lightly when I try out new bronzers.

The Love Me Beauty website states that this bronzer is designed to give you ‘that summer glow all year round’, and for my skin tone, this really works! The shade is very neutral on me but also has a sense of warmth to it, meaning it doesn’t look horribly orange at all.

As it’s matte, this bronzer also works as a contour powder – if I’m very delicate this works for me too. I’m not sure that this would be the best tone for very deep skin colors, but I would say that they’ve managed to produce a relatively universal tone in one single shade.

When I got this blush in the mail I really couldn’t help myself – and the first thing I did was swatch it. I was really pleasantly surprised by how smooth and creamy the powder felt on my fingers.

The shade is simply gorgeous – think Nars Orgasm but not as pink – and it looks really beautiful on the skin. The shimmer throughout it is enough to give a healthy glow, but not look glittery.

I’m so pleased with both of these products and I can’t wait to see what else Phase Zero and Love Me Beauty have in store. The other shades of blush all look really pretty and although I don’t think I could pull of gold rush, I think I may have to buy it!

What have you tried from Phase Zero ?
