CYO Lifeproof Long Lasting Foundation | Shade 102 | Link | £7.50
I absolutely adore this foundation – and it’s £7.50! I bought this in the winter and thought it was amazing then, and I’m still loving it now. It holds up in the heat and even when it starts to fade because I’m so sweaty it fades really nicely (if that’s possible).
The finish is natural to dewy on me and doesn’t highlight any dry skin patches I have at all. The finish is so skin like and natural that sometimes I look in the mirror and actually forget that I’m wearing it (apart from the fact that my skin tone doesn’t look all red and spotty).
The only issue I have with this, which, lets face it isn’t really too much of an issue at all, is that this foundation does oxidise. The shade I have is 102, which is the second lightest and at the moment as I have a little bit of a tan the fact it darkens makes it a perfect match. However, I’m definitely going to need the lightest shade for the cooler months.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation | Shade 2 | Link | £42
There’s quite a price difference between these two – but actually I find them pretty similar. Luminous Silk never lets me down and is the foundation that I bring out in the summer months if I’m having my picture taken. It applies in such thin layers that it never looks cakey and the heat doesn’t cause it to break down – somehow it manages to look better !
I do need to get a darker shade in this, but every time I wear it even in the heat, I’m reminded how beautiful it looks. I wouldn’t be without either of these foundations in my collection.
