Let me start off this review by mentioning (if you’re new around here) that I have horribly dry lips. No amount of drinking water fixes this, and at this stage I’ve just accepted that this is the way I am. These days, I’m just on the search for an amazing lip balm! And that’s not only because although it’s March it’s currently snowing here and drying out my skin and lips even more! I was very kindly sent this ‘lip moisturiser’ from Image Skincare named the ‘Ormedic Sheer Pink Lip Enhancement Complex’ (so not quite your average lip balm) and I’ve been putting it to the test over the past few weeks. Here are my thoughts…
Image Skincare Ormedic Sheer Pink Lip Enhancement Complex Review | $19 | Link – US
A limited-edition, subtly tinted lip moisturiser that instantly infuses lips with soothing hydration while improving the appearance and volume of lip contours. It diminishes fine lines and contains an anti-aging complex that supports collagen in the lips, so they look naturally firm and full. This limited edition offers a beautifully sheer, rosy tint and benefits the Care for Skin Foundation with every purchase.
On the package this is also supposed to be very good for you if you get lip injections (I don’t, so I can’t test that claim!) but I do always enjoy a product that donates money to Charity through its purchase, so that’s nice to see here. The shade of this lip moisturiser, as you can see in the picture below, is decidedly a sheer pink. It looks effortless when applied with or without other makeup on and gives a hit of colour, as claimed.
As for the claims that the Image Skincare Ormedic Sheer Pink Lip Enhancement Complex (that’s a loooooonnng name haha) diminishes fine lines – I’d have to say that I agree. My lips do look plumper since I have been using this regularly and I have noticed that matte lipstick applies better also.
Although I’m really pleased that it lived up to my expectations in this regard, these aren’t things that I’m massively worried about at the moment! However, I’m also very pleased to report that this also works great if, like me, you struggle with crippling dryness. My lips feel and look moisturised and the product doesn’t seep away a few minutes after application either – it stays around and fights the dry patches for a long time (which I struggle to find in ‘day time appropriate’ lip balms).
Overall, although this is probably a high-end purchase for anyone looking for a lip balm – I would really recommend taking the plunge ! The actual balm seems to be lasting me a while (it doesn’t look as though I’ve used any yet), and as it actually helps with my dry lips, I don’t find that I constantly need to re-apply. Other 5* reviews on the Image Skincare website also speak for themselves!!
