The Autumn Edit 2017 – Get Glam this Halloween

It seems absolutely bizarre to me to say that it’s October now. It feels like not long ago that it was my birthday – which is in January. October is definitely my favourite month though, with the beginning of Autumn, jumpers and soup being high up on my list of loves. I know a lot of people go for horror looks this time of year but in my circle of friends, we have more glam Halloween parties. My look this year is going to be firmly seated in feline eyes and juicy lips, although this won’t just be for Halloween – this look is perfect for a cute autumnal date night or night out.

So … ? Fragrance – Dark Romance* | £5.99 | Link

Fragrance is where the night starts for me. Described as ‘rich, mysterious and sassy,’ this lovely fragrance from So…? Fragrance has such a delicious scent. With notes of bergamot, pink pepper corn and dark praline but also violet and vanilla there’s something very sweet but also sexy about wearing this, and you can’t beat the price. It adds a perfect warmth to a look and will be fab to wear all autumn.

LA Girl Pro.Coverage Illuminating Foundation – Porcelain | £11.00 | Link

If I’m going anywhere where I know I’m going to be photographed my first choice for a base is the LA Girl pro.coverage foundation. It photographs beautifully and doesn’t look heavy in person either. You can find my previous review here.

tarte Shape Tape Concealer – Fair Neutral | £22.00 | Link

Tarte Shape Tape has become a cult favourite in a very short space of time and I can see why – it’s full coverage and light-weight. Whenever I wear heavier eye makeup (shadows or lashes), I always go for a full coverage under eye concealer to  lift any shadows and cover dark circles. You can find a full review here.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette 1 – Discontinued | New Version – Link

I use the top left and right powders to set my under eyes and t-zone, as I don’t like setting my entire face! The blushes in this palette are also gorgeous. The new holiday palette for this year ‘Volume 3’ is very similar to this one and is in rose gold packaging so I’d snap that one up while you can.

Jouer Powder Highlighter – Rose Quartz | £19 | Link

The Jouer cosmetics highlight in Rose Quartz is a beautiful, blinding, pink tone. It is an ideal ‘party’ highlight because of this (I certainly wouldn’t call it work appropriate). Due to it’s more pink tone, I find it pairs really well with more Autumnal tones.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara – Black | £11.99 | Link

I’ve been pretty much in love with this mascara since I purchased it –  it’s not perfect but it’s the best high-street option I’ve ever found. You can find my full review of it here.

KISS Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes – Midnight* | £7.99 | Link

These lashes are just so gorgeous ! Fluttery, full and perfect for a sultry cat eye – whether you are actually dressed up as a cat or not. I can tell these are going to be a staple in my makeup bag going into Christmas and the new year.

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette | £60.00 | Link

If you’re a neutral lover like me, this has to be one of the most ‘treat yourself’ palettes out there. It’s got everything I want and as a bonus, all the shades pair really well with a bold lip!

I think it’s important to have choices for the lips, so here are a few of my picks:

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick – Exorcism | £17.00 | Link

This lipstick featured in my autumnal edit from last year – it’s safe to say it’s still a massive favourite. I tend to find long wearing, matte liquid lipsticks very drying, but all in all this formula isn’t too bad.

Charlotte Tilbury Opium Noir Lipstick | £23.00 |

A good option for a lipstick that is matte, but isn’t as drying as a traditional ‘liquid lipstick’. This shade was limited edition but I had to include it – it’s so stunning!

Leighton Denny Nail Colour – Maneater* | £12.00 | Link

A wet-look, glossy black and dark as night. I wore this shade to work for an entire week to work with no chips. Normally I don’t like black shades as you often have to paint many layers to get full pigment on the nails but not with this – it’s perfectly opaque on one coat.

Leighton Denny Nail Colour – Caught Red Handed* | £12.00 | Link

A bright, iridescent red that gives a ‘naughty but nice’ impression. I’ve been wearing this in combination with Maneater, but I’m sure I’ll continue to wear this into the holiday period as it just screams Christmas to me. I’ll be doing patterns on my nails with this colour on Halloween.

KISS Gel Fantasy Ready to Wear Nails – Wait n’ See* | £7.99 | Link

If you don’t have particularly long nails and prefer false ones then these KISS gel fantasy nails are perfect. Tombstone shapes add a bit of scary to your every day look, but the shade is a lovely, neutral one.

That’s all for what I’ll be wearing this Halloween and (probably) most of autumn – you’ll see if featured a lot over on my Instagram in the flesh over the coming months.

What look will you be sporting this Autumn ? Are you going to be scary or sexy this Halloween?
