I’ve only recently joined twitter (you can find me here), but to me it’s all very exciting to see a pretty picture, re-tweet it/like it and interact. I’m finding I enjoy the real world connection with other people both within the blogging community and outside of it. So when I won this bundle of goodies from Cohorted (the luxury beauty box company) in their regular freebie Friday competition I was surprised. I’d merely re-tweeted a picture that I liked, I didn’t even realise this was a thing! I thought you might like to take a peek at what I received…
Ovali Collection Brush Sculpt and Shadow Set – £40
Oval brushes like this are all the rage right now, and this is Cohorted’s own brand of them. I feel that getting to grips with the face brushes like this would’ve been easier but I’m trying out these ones designed for the eye at the moment, they’re weird to get used to but I’m thinking of posting a review when I’ve gathered my thoughts. The rose gold detailing is beautiful (I’m a sucker for it – like most of us I imagine) and they’re very, very soft!
Tarte – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette – £33
I own barely any Tarte products, so when this came with the brushes I was super excited! As I mentioned in my Beauty Bay haul post, I’m always in need of more matte shadows (because I’m always tempted into buying the metallic ones instead) so having this is a delight. The shades are versatile as well as blendable and the palette is dinky enough to be easy to travel with. You can find the palette here.
Smith and Cult Nail Lacquer – Regret the Moon – $18/£19
‘Regret the Moon’ is described as an ‘opaque sweet creme’ nail polish and is the polish I’m wearing in my August Favourites post. You can find this at Space NK in the UK, and although it’s a very pretty colour, I wouldn’t say it is massively opaque (taking 2-3 coats to get up to full colour). The bottle is stunning and despite having to do repeated coats, I rather like the formula – even as a wash of something on the nails.
