The more makeup you buy, the more storage you need. It’s a vicious cycle of trying to cram things in drawers and disguise how deep your addiction to highlighter and lipstick runs – I know, it’s a very personal battle. Then you decide that, actually, if you had a way to put some of your ‘everyday’ makeup on display it would look pretty on your dresser and you might remember to use that Chanel bronzer that you’ve completely forgotten about (*cough *cough*). Before I go any further, this isn’t a sponsored post, I just like it! So, a few months ago, I invested in a crystal clear 4 drawer acrylic makeup organiser by HerClutterBox – a Dublin based company that ships internationally. The ‘ClutterBoxes’ are handmade, but this does mean production time can take slightly longer. You can find the product on their website here.
I’d searched and searched for a transparent acrylic box of this sort for what felt like an age before buying it as it seemed impossible to find either a company that shipped to the UK relatively cheaply or a company based here with good prices. I found these things in HerClutterBox. My 4 drawer box cost me £109 in the sale, this is the smallest size HerClutterBox make (they also carry a 5 and 6 drawer). I thought this would be the best size for me as it would hold a fair bit of makeup but wouldn’t look too big sitting on the side. I also preferred the design of this box to others I’d seen as it had proper knobs as opposed to just indents on the drawers, and a flip top lid.
Shipping & Delivery
My organiser took 6 weeks to arrive (it was out of stock when I ordered), but this didn’t bother me because I was told about the time frame when I placed my order. One of my main concerns was that during shipping to England the acrylic might break or otherwise be damaged; however, if you’re considering ordering you’ll be pleased to know that it was packaged brilliantly and the acrylic itself is very sturdy (4mm thick). It came by courier and once dispatched took 3 days to arrive from Ireland (which is pretty good !).
I emailed their customer services twice before I received my order, so I feel that I can make a judgement as to whether they were helpful/I’d feel comfortable ordering again. Both times they replied in the same day and answered my questions effectively.

The three smaller drawers measure 5.5cm high at the front and 5 cm high at the sides, so the drawer has space for products roughly 5cm high (with the 4mm acrylic taken into account). Similarly the bottom, larger drawer has space for products roughly 9.5cm high.
How I Use Mine

This is one of the smaller drawers containing a selection of products so you can see the depth and usability of them. The smaller drawers easily fit two Mac lipsticks stacked on top of each other. The dividers are included and can be inserted differently for your ideal storage solution.
The larger drawer (below) has Illamasqua nail polishes standing up along the front (most polish brands can stand in the bottom drawer), a naked palette standing on end (with room to spare above it) and a large Z-Palette (which you cannot stand up, but which fits perfectly fine laid down).
I love my ClutterBox and think it’s a brilliant way for any makeup lover (like me) to store their makeup! I think it is very well manufactured and designed and the company were easy to purchase from. If, like me, you desperately need this in your life – get one here!
