My August Favourites

August Makeup Favourites
I really don’t understand how August is over with already, soon I’ll be heading back to university for my final year – and that seems insane to me. I’ve never written a ‘monthly favourites’ post before, but as I personally enjoy reading them, I’ve decided that I’m going to. There have been lots of things to love this month (mainly because I’ve bought so many products this summer), but on top of this I’m going to be heading up to Durham with my boyfriend for some time away together soon before term starts again – so that’s something to look forward to! I’m considering blogging about the things we get up to there, but honestly I think this will mainly consist of eating food. Also, my last post was about my current everyday products – some of these could have easily been mentioned here. So without further ado, here are the things I’ve been using a lot / loving in the past month…

BECCAxJaclyn Hill Champagne Split

First off, the BECCAxJaclyn Hill Champagne Split in the shade champagne pop/ flower child. I purchased two different combinations of these (you can find the post here) and although these particular two shades aren’t limited addition, I’ve never owned either colour. I’ve got a slight tan at the moment (and I mean very slight – in my last post I talk about my current everyday foundation which is still very pale) but I’ve found that these colours look so stunning on my skin at the moment!

NYX Prismatic Eye Shadow – Liquid Gold

NYX has been availible at Boots/Selfridges for a while now in the UK and I actually purchased this single eye shadow around Christmas-time because I wanted to try out the formula. I’ve recently got really into deep golden shades and these shadows are highly pigmented, creamy and apply beautifully – so liquid gold has been a definite favourite for going out this month.

Nail Polish : Smith & Cult – Regret the Moon

Makeup Revolution Highlighter Palette – Radiance

These are subtle glowy powders, much like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders – at a fraction of the cost. I believe this palette is supposed to be a dupe for the Ambient Lighting Palette.  I’ve been using the darker shade on the right as a bronzer, and though it’s very warm I find it to be a good summer colour.

GlitterEyes Pressed Glitter – Rose Gold

I’ve worn this shade more than any of the other glitters that I picked up from GlitterEyes (look coming soon). I think it was pretty obvious in my review that I adored these, but this particular shade I can single out as being the best in formula, and I just adore the colour – if you want to see swatches they’re here.
Real Techniques Angled Powder Brush

Real Techniques 103 Angled Powder Brush

This was part of a set containing three bold metals brushes  (I think this brush might’ve been limited edition). My love for using this brush for bronzer has recently been revived – so it needed to be in my August favourites!

Kiehl’s Eye Alert Gel

Pretty similar to the midnight recovery eye cream from Kielh’s but I much prefer this as it’s a gel and so absorbs more quickly. I get very bad dark circles and this over the past few months has really helped them massively.

August Makeup Favourites

Have you been loving anything recently? Should I check out your favourites ? Thanks for reading…
